Cote d'Azur Cottages

As well known for its sparkling blue waters as it is for its chic residents and visitors, the Cote d’Azur continues to attract those seeking a touch of elegance when on holiday.

Just one visit will make it obvious why the name of the region translates to “Coast of Blue” with the beauty of the coastal region being immediately evident.

The region, which is also known as the French Riviera, has long been the playground of the moneyed and famous, and it has a style to match. The beach alone is enough to attract travellers who want to lie on the sand, swim in the sea, or sail out further on the Mediterranean.

With its culture partly arising from being on the border with Italy, the region has an air of sophistication that extends to our luxury cottages where you will be able to relax in the laid-back atmosphere of the surroundings.

As easy-going as the region is, Cannes becomes a hive of activity during the famed film festival that takes place annually, making it the place-to-be for people related to the film industry from all over the world. However, a sedate life in Cannes is possible, as it is also known for its beaches, although some of these are private.

For the best of what the region has to offer, a trip to Nice is a necessity. Stroll along the Promenade des Anglais and soak up the sun as you gaze into the distance where the blue of the sky meets the blue of the sea. Not far from there is the Jardin Albert I a beautiful park of a Mediterranean style that includes palm trees.

The old town of Antibes attracts those who like to wander along the cobble-stoned streets and visit sights such as the Cathedral Notre-Dame, which is the largest church in the town. It is also home to the Musée Picasso, which displays work by the acclaimed artist created while he resided in the region.

Whereas the Cote d’Azur region as a whole appears shiny and contemporary, a visit to Vence demonstrates that the area has managed to retain some of its medieval charm. It retains the original fortifications that were constructed to protect the city.

Experience the elegance of the region and the comfort of our 5-star luxury cottages by visiting the Core d’Azur for an idyllic holiday in a location that exudes beauty and style.
