Snowdonia

Snowdonia is a land of beautiful scenery, waterfalls, valleys, mountain ranges and river gorges. Not forgetting the enchanting forests of ash, oak, rowan and hazel trees. Snowdonia is not only a holiday destination for those looking for adrenaline fuelled adventure, but also for those of us who just like to stand and stare.

The Snowdonia National Park covers 838 square miles and is perfect for a cottage holiday, especially one with your own private hot tub. Image a cottage nestled at the foot of Mount Snowden. Starting your walk from the door, you climb to the majestic summit of Snowden, and on your return sink into a warm hot tub of frothy bubbles.

Snowdonia isn’t just for summer, there are guided walks and guided rock climbing to enjoy any time of the year. Hot tubs aren’t just for summer either. When you return cold and wet from a day walking the mountains, turn on the tub, step in, relax and let the aches fade away. On crisp clear nights, what better than sitting up to your neck in warm bubbles and watch the myriad of stars sparkle in the night sky.

You don’t have to be super energetic to enjoy Snowdonia. Take the Snowden Mountain Railway to the roof top of Wales and enjoy the views. For miniature railway fans the Fairbourne Miniature Railway is the smallest narrow gauge railway in Wales. It runs 2 miles from Fairbourne to the seaside town of Barmouth, with its old town nestled on the side of a mountain. It’s perfect for a seaside holiday, stay in a cottage overlooking the great beach, and in the evening just unwind in the hot tub.

In the shadow of Elidir Mountain, The National Slate Museum brings the past to life. Taking you on a journey through an industry that is at the heart of Snowdonia. Enjoy a taste of the past staying in an old quarryman’s cottage, full of charm and character, but with contemporary touches including a hot tub.

Snowdonia has so much to offer at any time of the year, and a hot tub cottage holiday is just one of them.
