Padstow Cottages

If you want to be right in the middle of north Cornwall’s stunning coast choose cottages with hot tubs in Padstow. People flock here year after year loving the vibe of this trendy fishing town and the beautiful beaches. Whether you’re on a romantic getaway or on holiday with family and friends you can look forward to relaxing in your own hot tub and luxuriating in the bubbles.

In the Elizabethan times the town was once a bustling fishing port but nowadays the fishermen are busy supplying the local eateries, a major feature of the town which even boasts a celebrity chef. The harbour is now full of pleasure crafts of all descriptions including a regular ferry across the River Camel to Rock, also known locally as ‘little Chelsea’ attracting the young at heart and well-to-do from London.

Beach lovers can choose from St George’s cove half a mile way, Harbour Cove on the Camel Estuary backed by golden sand dunes and Rock Beach plus many more, in fact there are thirteen to choose from within easy distance. One of the best surf beaches is Constantine Bay, bathing can be hazardous at times but at low tide the rock pools are great to explore and get young feet wet. There are boundless water sport opportunities along the coast, visit Retallack, a huge Aqua Park including Cornwall’s only Flowrider and Wake Park, a great place to try something new.

Every year on May Day the town hosts the Hobby Hoss Festival, an ancient form of celebrations welcoming the spring with dancing hobby horses and old fertility rites! The disused railway track between Padstow and Wadebridge is now a 5 mile long stretch of the Camel Trail and perfect to go cycling. You’ll go through Pinkson Creek, a popular resting place for birds including curlews and egrets.

Walkers will love the dramatic coastal path and a lovely walk in Autumn is from the harbour to Harlyn Bay with stunning coastal views, a collapsed sea cave and great opportunities to spot wildlife. Catch the ferry to Rock and walk to St Minver with panoramic views over the Camel Estuary. A more leisurely stroll is to Harbour cove where you will pass the impressive Prideaux Place, an impressive Elizabethan manor.

Hot tub breaks in Padstow go very quickly so book yours today and start planning your coastal adventure in north Cornwall.
