Falmouth Cottages

This is a perfect destination for everyone and cottages with hot tubs in Falmouth mean you have a huge range of activities, for the entire family, right on your doorstep. The town is in a stunning coastal location on the Fal Estuary, the third largest natural harbour in the world so a real hub for water sport enthusiasts and those who just like to be by the sea.

The town has a large and bustling centre with a lovely selection of speciality shops as well as major high street brands and galleries displaying the work of local artists. There’s a great choice of cafes, pubs and restaurants to sample the local food and drink, you can’t beat traditional fish and chips at the Harbour Lights or a snack at one of the beach cafes.

There’s a wonderful choice of beaches and Gyllyngvase is a favourite with golden sand, clear water and a life guard at peak times. Castel Beach is good for rock-pooling and Swanpool and Maenporth have the best in water sports, Falmouth itself has its own surf school. Dogs are very welcome from the 2nd October until Easter.

As well as sailing you can try scuba diving, paddle boarding, kayaking, in fact just about everything amidst this glittering watery setting. Golfers can play a round on one of the oldest courses in Cornwall and Falmouth Golf Club boasts a spectacular position overlooking the sea. There’s great fishing off any of the beaches to catch pollock and mackerel, wrasse and rays. Take a fishing trip in the harbour for some family fun or perhaps a boat charter if you want to venture further out to sea.

Walkers can enjoy the coastal path in any direction or some lovely circular walks; try the Devoran Circular with a well-timed stop at the Old Quay Inn serving fresh local food and a good selection of Cornish Ales. Cyclists can enjoy a myriad of creekside paths, bridleways and quiet lanes just waiting to be explored.

Other attractions are the Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle and further afield is the world famous Eden Project. There are some fabulous gardens nearby benefitting from the mild-subtropical climate. You won’t be surprised to hear hot tub breaks in Falmouth are very popular, all year round there are events to look out for, so make sure you book yours today.
