Lovely and surprisingly spacious cottage in a fantastic setting. Everywhere is a drive to get to but you are in the heart of snowdonia so that’s what you should expect. The cottage is on a fast main road making walking anywhere along the road a bit hairy, but once in it is a cosy cottage with all we needed as a base from which to explore all North Wales has to offer. We will be coming back.

We were very comfortable in Ysgoldy and thought it was very well equipped for a holiday cottage.

Lovely stay, well stocked kitchen and plus of a washing machine and airer. Car parking space right outside but van only just fitted, fine for a car but little space to turn around was only down side. Fantastic views of fields and sheep

Lovely little cottage, comfortable and perfect for a couple who need a base for an active holiday. Not hugely well equipped and on a busy main road, but only 5 minutes from Bettws y Coed. Lack of garden for dogs, but the house is situated on a quiet lane and there are lots of footpaths around for easy dog walking.

Very clean cottage, good location for walks and tourist amenities just could do with double glazing at cottage very close to roadside. Overall would definitely use again when we go back to Wales :)

Conveniently situated on the A470 for touring North Wales but still retains some degree of remoteness. The road outside is not too busy but the traffic does pass at speed. The cottage itself is a little quirky but what would you expect from a building of that age. Clean and well equipped (maybe lacking a small radio in the kitchen?) but we would stay there again!

My husband and I had a lovely holiday staying here. Cottage had everything that we required and was lovely and cosy even during the gale force winds! Will be back for sure. Thank you so much

The cottage name YSGOLDY need to have a sign somewhere in the road so it makes easy to found, so far we are really happy definately stay again in the future.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you so much for your helpful comment. We have now invested in a beautiful welsh slate sign which is positioned at the end of the lane to Ysgoldy and Dolbryn cottages. You can have a look on our Facebook page: Dolbryn and Ysgoldy Snowdonia Cottages.
