Group of 4 friends. Had our original choice of cottage cancelled due to owner’s illness, so couldn’t be helped. Cottages.com team were fantastic in helping us find an alternative with just a few days to go. Yr hen Sgubor turned out to be an amazing choice. Comfy, cosy, well-equipped and with stunning views all round. The owner Mrs Budd was lovely, so helpful and welcoming - let us arrive early because of the last-minute cancellation. Beds so comfortable and kitchen immaculate. A few cobwebs in this old property but this made us feel at home藍. My little dog Florence was also welcomed warmly. We were shocked by the Friday rush-hour traffic - 3 cars and a tractor. The place is so quiet and peaceful we just felt the stresses and strains of life drain away. Hoping to return in the warmer weather to enjoy the views from the little garden.

A lovely cottage to spend a week getting away from it all. The owner was an absolute delight to deal with and had left homemade cakes and milk for our arrival. She lives at the end of the row of cottages, so is there if you need anything, but leaves you to enjoy the property in peace. The cottage is spacious & can easily accommodate up to 6 people with 4 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms and comfy sofa's to seat 6. The kitchen was really well equipped as was the utility area had the weather been good enough for barbecue & al fresco dining! The central heating worked really well, so the cottage was toasty warm. The owner really had thought of everything even down to spare towels in the utility area for our wet dogs! The garden is safe and secure for dogs and has beautiful views of the valley. We didn't have phone reception anywhere in the valley (Vodafone and Three), but there is a landline in the cottage and the WiFi worked perfectly. The nearest shop/pub is at Devil's Bridge (5-10mins drive). I would definitely be happy to stay again!
