You can travel by steam train between Aberystwyth and Devil’s Bridge, and appreciate the scenery. The seaside resort of Aberystwyth has lots of shops, cafés, restaurants, pier and promenade, and boasts the longest electric cliff railway in Britain. Take a trip to the summit and enjoy coffee and cake, whilst taking in the breathtaking views across Cardigan Bay. The area is popular with walkers being near the Hafod Forest Estate and various scenic pathways. There are over 60 miles of coastline, lovely beaches (many dog friendly all year round), coves and seaside towns to enjoy.
With many other attractions including mines, museums, quad biking, golf and nature reserves in the vicinity, you will never be short of things to do. Yr Hen Sgubor is an ideal location for enjoying the local beauty or exploring all that Wales has to offer. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.

We were welcomed by the owners wife, charming and polite. which was very nice, and very welcome. The cottage was i believe a typical welsh farm cottage, although it may be a converted cattle stall. overall, the inside was excellent, with a few exceptions. 1.Rubbish left in bin, from Jan 2019, (Milk containers). 2. no replacement sacks. 3. wash basin in Bathroom, spots of paint, left in basin, hole in basin repaired with filler. 3.Shower cubicle doors wouldn't open fully, and close properly. 4. Bath has no safety rails for getting in or out, making it difficult for the elderly. and finally the view at the front of the cottages, was spoilt by the sight of years of clutter stored outside by the owners of the cottages. not what you would like to see, from the garden area, or bedrooms.
