Nestled deep in the Cornish countryside, these four lodges (refs W42524, W42659, UKC1445 and UK12785) are in the perfect holiday spot for walkers and surfers with easy access to the coastal path and sandy bays. The lodge-style holiday homes, which are on a small touring caravan site (open Easter to October), provide bright and comfortable detached accommodation, very close to the beautiful north coast of Cornwall. A large private deck provides a great space to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner as the sun sets, a perfect end to a day out at the beach or walking the local coastal path. Yonder Green is a small hamlet close to Padstow but a million miles away from the hustle and bustle.

They are ideally situated to enjoy all that this area has to offer, including the South West Coastal Path and the sandy bays which are ideal for walkers and surfers, or for those enjoying a family day on the beach. Close by is the coastal resort of Padstow, home to TV chef Rick Stein and Michelin starred chef Paul Ainsworth, and is the jewel in the crown of this stunning county. The narrow lanes are full of great shops, cafés, bars, pubs and restaurants. Enjoy a pasty or ice cream on the quayside as the boats bob around in the harbour, but watch the seagulls - they love a pasty! The ferry to Rock, Daymer Bay and Polzeath is a great way to explore and sails from the quayside during the day.

The Camel Estuary is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and can be explored by walkers, cyclists and horse riders using the Camel Trail which follows the estuary. Also within easy reach are the coastal villages of Port Isaac, where the TV series ‘Doc Martin’ was filmed, Tintagel, the legendary home of King Arthur, and the lovely inlet of Boscastle. There are several beautiful bays a few miles away including Porthcothan, Watergate Bay and Harlyn Sands. Newquay is just down the coast and offers shops, pubs and restaurants as well as the Blue Reef Aquarium, Newquay Zoo and the famous surfing beach at Fistral.

The area around Yonder Green is surrounded by golf courses, from the links course at Trevone and the Point at Polzeath, to St Enedoc, all great courses to experience. Beach 4 miles. Sailing, canoeing, surfing, spa’s, karting and horse riding are all available nearby. There is a selection of shops and a garage at St Merryn 3½ miles away. Post office/village store 2 miles, pub and restaurant 3½ miles.

The lodge was excellent with everything you need. Milk cake and a bottle of wine for our arrival which was a very nice touch. Where the lodge is its very remote, very quiet. Its was about 8 miles from Padstow around the country lanes which can be narrow at times. The nearest shops where about 5 miles. We enjoyed our stay but too quiet and no local amenities that you could walk to ie pub, shops.

Response on behalf of the owner; Many thanks for taking the time to write a review. We are really pleased you enjoyed Apple Blossom Lodge. We are in a rural location but only 5 miles from Padstow and 3 miles to the nearest shops at St Merryn by the most direct route. The main roads are only 2 miles from us and we are quite central to visit most places easily. We do appreciate the peace and quiet of our location does not suit all.

We spent a superb 2 weeks at Apple Blossom and would thoroughly recommend it. Despite pretty shoddy weather coming back to the cottage was always a joy. Great location for the Seven Bays and all they offer. Not a great deal in Romford itself in fact nothing at all but the walk suggested in the booklet passed St Irvan church was lovely. Hopefully we’ll be looking to visit again next year.

Owners are very friendly and can’t do enough to make your stay rememberable. Ideal base for visiting the area with its great dog friendly beaches and Cornish towns and villages.
