Had a great week away in yare view cottage, just myself and my wife. upon arrival we found the cottage easily, but access would not be possible in a car with low suspension due to a humped level crossing directly at the bottom of a hill on the access road.(please don't let this put you off if you don't have a low sports car or something!). The cottage is equipped with a double and twin bedrooms, spacious studio style living, dining and kitchen area, shower/toilet room with vanity basin. the kitchen has a full size cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine, toaster, kettle and coffee machine, all plates and utensils etc. in the twin bedroom cupboard is a rechargeable vacuum cleaner to pick up any crumbs etc. Yes there are steps into the property but with good hand rails, my wife has mobility issues but managed to get in and out ok. the rear of the property has French doors (the slave door is a bit stiff to open but does open with a tug) out onto the decked area which leads down to the driveway and grassed area. there is a picnic bench with parasol and a shed to keep fishing gear in during your stay. then onto the jetty area which is fully boarded and great to set up your fishing chair or seatbox. The parking is great, you should get 2 family cars parked easy on the driveway, (1 behind the double gates). The garden is west facing so be prepared to wear sun lotion if sat fishing after about 11am, as we had great weather and i still got sunburn wearing factor 30! The fishing was moderate throughout the day but once evening came I was bagging up on roach, perch, bream and skimmers!, there was a lot of lilies during our stay but there were 2 ample gaps to retrieve through without snagging. There are 2 Co-op shops in the village, a pizza shop (they don't deliver!!), coffee shop, DIY shop and chemist also. further afield there are large chain supermarkets within 30 mins drive, fishing tackle shops in Norwich and Wroxham (latter being easier to get to) and numerous attractions to visit. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will be booking again in the future.
