The location of this cottage was lovely, however the washing machine was not within the cottage, it was stored outside and was so rusty it was not usable and we then had to waste our holiday and spend £22.00 in the local laundrette. There was no WiFi available either and other guests had already complained and nothing had been done about this, we were unable to contact the relevant people regarding this as we had no phone service, WiFi or data as the place was very remote. We will not be using this cottage again as we had to spend the first evening hoovering flies out of the two twin rooms, there was so many in there as the doors had been left closed, we tried to open the window to release them and found fly nests in the window frame and handles, we also had to clean all the wardrobes and drawers that we wanted to use as they were full of dead and alive spiders and dusty cobwebs. We also had not running hot water for the first three days as this had been turned off at the circuit breaker and no instructions had been left regarding this and it was only by chance that we noticed the breaker had gone off

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; The Owner has been working with the Wi-Fi provider to resolve the issues, which have been resolved. If the visitors had contacted the caretaker the issues raised below could have been addressed. The details state that it is a shared washing machine, which is in working order. The Owner is disappointed that the guests did not enjoy their stay.

This cottage was in beautiful surroundings and was very quiet which suited us. Within a short drive there was the pretty town of Newport and 2 beautiful beaches. Newport has some interesting little shops and great pubs and cafes. The cottage was quite comfortable although some of the furnishings looked somewhat "worn". . Certainly the "garden furniture" which was advertised was in very poor condition - 2 dirty plastic chairs, an old table and several scruffy canvas chairs. The bedrooms however were nicely furnished and comfortable. There were several items missing on our arrival - for instance- 3 light bulbs gone and the plug in bathroom sink had disintegrated. Also we found several of the pans had not been washed properly by previous occupants - something that should have been checked prior to our arrival - and we didn't think the floor/rugs downstairs had been thoroughly hoovered.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are sorry that the customer was disappointed by the garden furniture. The table is a new habitat garden table purchased for this summer season. The Director chairs are also new this season. The plastic chair are extras.

cottage was pleasantly different, it is placed in a fantastic, idyllic location, hidden from outside influences. it is very nicely laid out and furnished just right. we realy relaxed and enjoyed walking around the area just before bed, or a cosy night in-front of the log fire. I would or should that be WILL return and holiday again. worth every penny.
