Cottage is remote apart from others in the complex, but is near enough to town(Newport)for those essentials like pub!8 mins drive away access to beach , and essentials. Beautiful surrounding woods and hills, with loads of wildlife. The perfect get away from it all cottage, Only the lack of upstairs toilet, and quite ordinary bath/shower facilities prevent higher mark.

Accommodation is a bit dated and basic but set in a lovely tranquil setting. Perfect to get away from it all. There is not much within walking distance, but a beautiful beach at Newport just a short drive away together with some good pubs serving excellent grub. No phone signal in tge cottage and wifi only available outside by the stream, but that suited me just fine. Guaranteed at least one of your party will bang their head on those stairs, but overall a really enjoyable stay. We would definitely go back.

The cottage was very remote with no phone signal or wifi. The place needed a thoroughly good clean. Beds upstairs very hard. Would have been nice to have a welcome hello or at least some useful information left. Mind your head on the stairs .
