Wylies Brae is a lovely little cottage in the heart of the village, a hugely popular area for walkers and cyclists. Wylies Brae is peacefully set just off the Main Street and has been modernised in 2020 with a newly fitted kitchen and the cosy living room has a lovely wood burning stove.
New Galloway is a quaint little village with a village shop, excellent coffee shops and the Catstrand, an Arts and Information Centre and a theatre.
Wylies Brae is an excellent base from which to explore the area and where better to start than the Galloway Forest Park, the first Dark Sky Park in the UK, where you can marvel at the most amazing starry night skies.
For a great day out at any time of year explore the Galloway Glens and picturesque forest trails or for the more adventurous exhilarating mountain biking as the park is home to two of the world famous 7stanes mountain bike trails at Kirroughtree and Glentrool.
The coastline around the area is just as breathtaking with many sandy beaches, dramatic cliff top walks and pretty little harbour villages to explore. Restaurant 1 mile, pub and shops 20 yards.
