This village was chosen by Man Booker Prize shortlisted author Graeme MacRae Burnet as the setting for his crime story ‘His Bloody Project’. An inn, 3 miles up the coast, is renowned for its local seafood and complements a wider range of places to eat. The route inland from Applecross crosses over the highest motoring road in the British Isles which is part of the famous North Coast 500 route. Shop and pub 3 miles.
