Excellent get away, great little cottage and the owner, Fran, was lovely and welcoming. We were looking for a cosy place for a few days away from the hustle and bustle which is exactly what we got. Would definitely recommend.

The cottage is fitted out to an extremely high standard. It is in a very quiet rural location ideal for getting away from it all and just chilling out. The cottage is very warm and the shower is the best one I have ever had the pleasure to use. There is a wood burning fire in the living room which adds character and acts as a focal point but is not essential for warmth. There is an adequate WiFi connection despite the rural location and a large TV with the digital terrestrial channels. The only small issue is that the cottage is very close to the owners own house but that wasn't particularly a problem as the owners kept themselves very much to themselves after the initial greeting. The kitchen is modern and well equipped and self catering is very easy. I would recommend this cottage to anyone seeking a bit of peace and quiet and particularly to anyone with a dog as it is pet friendly and there are plenty of local lanes to walk on. Take wood for the fire as it burns well and enjoy the rural atmosphere.

Had a lovely stay did everything they could for us nice and friendly but left to own devices as should be managed to accommodate our 18month old and 5 month old with our family dog. Only thing could benefit from is as mentioned by others slightly larger bed luckily me and partner not the tallest of people! Other then that good long stay of a month good facilities for money would definitely recommend many thanks to the both of you

It was a wonderful base which suited our needs as we walked round the coast from Hornsea to Hull. As such, we have marked it up. Local amenities we marked down simply because you were in the middle of glorious countryside! Shops were some way away!

I thought the cottage itself was very cosy, welcoming and very clean. However for us privacy was an issue as the holiday home was in the owners garden at the side, the lounge bathroom and bedroom windows overlooked their garden. We had to keep curtains and blinds closed for privacy as both owners and kids were in garden during our stay quite a bit of the time so we were disturbed by noise of kids and dogs barking alot. WiFi did not connect at all during stay. The bed was a real let down far too small for couple should be at least a full double not small 4 ft. My husband slept on sofa. We were disturbed by the noise of the cockadooledoo around 4 am every morning waking us all up. We actually got up on our last day at 4 am packed up and left. Very disappointed over all sorry.

Decent cottage, but the bed is too small - it is not a full double. The guest-book mentions this at least 4 times but the owners appear not to have taken any notice of this (some folks slept on the floor or sofa it appears!). We would have liked to book again, but won't do so unless and until a full double bed is installed.

Booked a last minute visit to Woodlea as we wanted to get away from the Midlands to near the coast, and with Woodlea being pet friendly it became the ideal choice, especially as our dog struggles with stairs so being on 1 floor really helped. I can't fault the place, was cosy and comfortable, the only thing lacking were a few 'extras' Like wood for the log burner/ kitchen roll for the kitchen. In all fairness im sure if we'd have got in touch with the owners they'd have provided us with some but as it wasn't mentioned in the manual that was in the place on arrival, I didnt want to put them out. Nearest shop is 10mins drive away but there are big supermarkets in the nearby seaside towns (about 25minute drive) All in all a very nice experience, would stay again!
