Just up the road in Torrington, attractions include the excellent Plough Arts Centre for interesting movies, 1646 Visitor Attraction and Dartington Crystal. Watch skilled craftsmen at work and learn about the history of Dartington Crystal before indulging in some discount retail therapy in their extensive factory shop experience. RHS Rosemoor Gardens are just a few minutes walk away from the property, blending formal and informal plantings to magical effect, and has lots of events and shows planned throughout the year. For those who fancy venturing a little further afield, pretty Clovelly is a seaside town with steep cobbled streets that lead down to a harbour and the sea. For water sports and fishing, Tamar Lakes and Kilkhampton are a short drive away. Exciting attractions for children include The Milky Way Adventure Park and The Big Sheep. Beach 11 miles.
