The cottage was spacious, especially downstairs, and well-equipped, and there were lovely views across the valley. It was very quiet, which we loved, and on the couple of warm evenings we had, we enjoyed sitting outside and listening to the curlews across the valley. Also, a very pretty stretch of river only five minutes walk away.

Remote cottage in beautiful location. No amenities on doorstep but we were aware of this through information on website and loved the tranquility. Comfortable cottage with walking directly from the door.

This was a second visit to woodbine cottage and we’re already broken again for next year. There’s very few places where you have total isolation from disturbances but this is one of them. Even with bad weather the roads were accessible and easy to drive. This is a remote location but that is exactly what we want. It’s the only place in the world that I’ve been where I have completely relaxed and shut off from the world. Absolute perfection :)

Unfortunately the cottage is fed by water from a spring and due to the hot weather the demand on the spring from other properties ment we did not have enough to have showers on our last day. There was also a lack of mirrors in two of the bedrooms. The property was lovley and the views spectacular , we all had a great time.
