Overall a nice cottage and no surprises based on its description and other reviews. It could do with some modernising in particular in having Wi-Fi (phone lines do run to the cottage). Also it would have been better if there was some form of enclosure at the rear of the property for the dogs, as the adjoining cottages also have dogs and you have to be a bit guarded if the dogs don't get on and the risk of dogs running off. And finally as mentioned in other reviews, the double bed desperately either needs a better mattress or a deep fill mattress topper as it was very uncomfortable.

Driving to the cottage we were treated to some lovely views of the estate and local countryside. The cottage looks like converted stables with some lovely features and beautiful views. The decor looked a bit tired especially the carpets, but having a fireplace with a supply of logs/kindling was a nice touch. We found the beds very uncomfortable but as it was a short stay this wasn’t too much of an issue.

The cottage is a little tired but we enjoyed our stay. It was ideal for our 6 year old grand son playing outside enjoying the walks and seeing the horses wild deer geese ect from the house.we would like to return next year
