A perfect romantic retreat in a peaceful location, boasting views of the Yorkshire and Lancashire fells from the patio and relaxing hot tub.

This beautifully appointed, detached, stone built cottage, has been lovingly restored by the owners from a former livestock building. Set in a peaceful location on a working sheep farm and boasting wonderful views of rolling countryside. From the patio and welcoming hot tub you can enjoy views of Weets Hill to one side and Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent to the other, whilst the sheep graze in the field in front of you.
Wistle Cottage is set in a perfect location on the outskirts of the old market town of Barnoldswick, and just 8 miles from the popular market town of Skipton. There are an abundance of walks to enjoy in the area, as well as having walks from the doorstep to the summit of Weets Hill, where on a clear day you can see as far as Blackpool Tower. The popular Yorkshire Three Peaks can also all be reached within an hour.
Other attractions nearby include the beautiful Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering riverside walks and an abundance of local cuisine in the many pubs and restaurants. The market town of Clitheroe, boasting a wide range of individual shops, bars and restaurants, is just 13 miles away. This is a perfect hidden gem, in a perfect location for exploring both Yorkshire and Lancashire, whilst providing a high standard of accommodation, and a relaxing hot tub to recharge after a day out exploring this wonderful area. Great little cottage in a great location. Spent a week here and really enjoyed it. Would recommend this cottage for a visit.

Lovely peaceful cottage in beautiful location. Only comment is that kitchen equipment is quite limited for those that wish to cook. Some bowls to use in the microwave would be useful and also some plastic containers for storage. The other problem was the lack of hangers in the wardrobe. The storage is limited anyway, but if you are staying for a week like we did there needs to be more hangers. Also because of the nice weather we had all week it would have been nice if there had been a barbeque to cook on outside. Apart for this we had a fantastic time and really enjoyed our stay at Whistle cottage.

Beautifully converted farm building, close to lovely walking country or short drive away from other local attractions. There is no Wi-fi which could be inconvenient for some.

The cottage is very relaxing, love it has a hot tub. The only downside is that there is no WiFi so when it says it has a smart tv you can actually use it, which is such a shame. We would stay there again

My partner and myself had a lovely 5 night stay at Wistle Cottage. The standard of the accommodation was excellent, very cosy and comfortable, with high quality furnishings. Lovely comfy bed and lots of light. I have never slept anywhere so quiet, it was very peaceful and relaxing. There are lots of walks to explore from the doorstep or only a short car journey away and the surrounding area is stunning. Highlights for us were the lovely hot tub and the neighbouring sheep and lambs. We would recommend The Fountain in Barnoldswick for a drink and food too. The only thing missing, that I could have done with was a hairdryer, but somehow managed to survive 5 days without one! We would love to visit again. Thank you.

We had an amazing time, the weather was poor so we spent a fair bit of time in the cottage, its fair to say it was relaxing, shame about the wifi so we could of utilised the smart tv, but the lack of wifi did have its benefits. Would definately visit again.
