Set within the peaceful orchard gardens of the old Priory Farm in Anderby’s nature preservation area, in the Coastal Park, these exceptionally lovely cottages Wisteria Cottage (ref E5094), Rose Barn (ref E5095) and Clematis Cottage (ref E5096), share a pretty courtyard whilst each enjoying its own enclosed private garden and patio with hot tub. The luxuriously appointed cottage interiors are fresh and contemporary and the welcoming owner’s talent in garden design is evident in the aromatic herbs and gorgeous planting gracing the beautiful patio areas. Cycle loan is available to visitors for exploring the coastline – the coastal path runs both north and south and locally many waymarked footpaths invite walkers. Just 1.5 miles away is the glorious beach at Anderby Creek, which now boasts a new ‘cloud interpretation platform’ and bird hide as well as superb sands, a licensed beach cafe, seasonal shop and pub. (Dogs are welcome on part of the beach all year round although prohibited in the main bathing area in summer). Golf, coarse and sea fishing and horse riding are all enjoyed nearby. The East Coast’s diverse delights include fantastic beaches, seal havens, with breeding seals on the sands at Donna Nook in November, bird sanctuaries and of course the traditional seaside fun, restaurants and takeaways at Chapel St Leonards, 3½ miles, and Skegness, 9 miles, home of Fantasy Island theme park. The market town of Alford’s famous windmill is 4 miles, the city of Lincoln’s medieval centre and vibrant waterfront are an easy drive, and the area’s aviation museums are always popular.
The cottages can be booked together to accommodate up to 14 guests.

On the positive side it was a Lovely cottage and grounds. Garden very private while using hot tub. Plenty of seating outside, and Dining area inside. The cooker was not very efficient and struggled to cook for 5 people. Found cigarettes, mints in top drawer and swim nappy under one of beds when arrived. Quite grimy on pipe at top of kitchen cupboards. Was 30 min plus walk to beach from property, slightly further than anticipated.

We really enjoyed the cottage and it’s rural location, which is what we were looking for. The cottage had everything we needed for a weeks holiday. The cleanliness in the bathrooms were not so good; though we are likely to book again

We spent Christmas at Wisteria cottage and had a great time. We found that having the living area as one room worked well for us as this meant that when someone was in the kitchen they weren't isolated. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom are huge, this is where we kept our boots. We found that there was enough room for all 6 of us (all adults) and the dog. Peter and Alistair were lovely and even got our dog a Christmas present as well dog treats. We didn't manage to walk to the local pub in the next village. Walking along the road was a bit daunting for a bunch of townies. We spent our evenings in the hot tub which was fantastic. Chapel St. Leonard's is a lovely little town. The vets there was very good and not at all pricey. The North Sea observatory was also good and the beach seems to go on forever. Donna Nook was a great place to visit and the seals with their pups.

Lovely cottage with lovely owners only things that could do with improvement are 1. The cleaning when we arrived it didn't look like it had been cleaned in some time the freezer compartment was full of ice so made shutting the door hard. There was cobwebs everywhere scurtins were thick with dust we cleaned before rest of party arrived but I am a professional cleaner so have a high standard 2. Mattress could do with replacing due to springs popping up and making noise What time you moved this was only in the 2 double rooms. 3.hot tub needs more chemicals not just on day 1. We have a friend who is a pool maintenance and hot tub expertwho wasn't happy with it due to the foam and muck which indicates it needs more chemicals. 4.I needs checking after each vist due to remote being broke for tv thankfully we had a tech guy with us who fixed that for us turned out someone had spilt sticky liquid(Sambuca) all over it. Other than these points it could be a 5* accommodate we will be back hopefully next year

We were looking for a peaceful setting for our holiday and we certainly found it at Wisteria Cottage! A lovely setting and just minutes to one of the many beautiful beaches in Lincolnshire, at Anderby Creek. The hot tub in the enclosed garden (safe for our dog) was wonderful at the end of a lazy day. The owners are very friendly and helpful and we would certainly recommend this cottage.

We have been visiting Anderby for many years now. The village is quite and friendly. The beech is a 5 - 10 min drive away and is dog friendly. The cottage is very clean and the new owners are very helpful. If your looking for a hidden retreat away from the manicness of daily life where you can take your doggy too! this is the place. PS love the new hot tub!

Very helpful couple and cottage ideal for our purposes. A bit of an issue with electrical appliances that kept tripping the switch but soon dealt with. TV was difficult to work out so never watched it but it really didn't matter as we had been busy all day and soon ready for bed. Whilst we were not interested in the hot tub, I can see that it might be a bonus to some people and owners keen for us to try it. Cottage generally well equipped and beds comfortable so would recommend to friends. We had a couple of untidy grandchildren so I hope that Alastair and Peter would have us back if we wanted to return next year!
