Welcome Cottages

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

Wisteria Cottage is located in peaceful orchard gardens, with a private enclosed garden and underfloor heating.

Close to Anderby Creek

Set within the peaceful orchard gardens of the old Priory Farm in Anderby’s nature preservation area, in the Coastal Park, these exceptionally lovely cottages Wisteria Cottage (ref E5094), Rose Barn (ref E5095) and Clematis Cottage (ref E5096), share a pretty courtyard whilst each enjoying its own enclosed private garden and patio with hot tub. The luxuriously appointed cottage interiors are fresh and contemporary and the welcoming owner’s talent in garden design is evident in the aromatic herbs and gorgeous planting gracing the beautiful patio areas. Cycle loan is available to visitors for exploring the coastline – the coastal path runs both north and south and locally many waymarked footpaths invite walkers. Just 1.5 miles away is the glorious beach at Anderby Creek, which now boasts a new ‘cloud interpretation platform’ and bird hide as well as superb sands, a licensed beach cafe, seasonal shop and pub. (Dogs are welcome on part of the beach all year round although prohibited in the main bathing area in summer). Golf, coarse and sea fishing and horse riding are all enjoyed nearby. The East Coast’s diverse delights include fantastic beaches, seal havens, with breeding seals on the sands at Donna Nook in November, bird sanctuaries and of course the traditional seaside fun, restaurants and takeaways at Chapel St Leonards, 3½ miles, and Skegness, 9 miles, home of Fantasy Island theme park. The market town of Alford’s famous windmill is 4 miles, the city of Lincoln’s medieval centre and vibrant waterfront are an easy drive, and the area’s aviation museums are always popular.
The cottages can be booked together to accommodate up to 14 guests.

Very helpful couple and cottage ideal for our purposes. A bit of an issue with electrical appliances that kept tripping the switch but soon dealt with. TV was difficult to work out so never watched it but it really didn't matter as we had been busy all day and soon ready for bed. Whilst we were not interested in the hot tub, I can see that it might be a bonus to some people and owners keen for us to try it. Cottage generally well equipped and beds comfortable so would recommend to friends. We had a couple of untidy grandchildren so I hope that Alastair and Peter would have us back if we wanted to return next year!

A beautiful cottage situated in a lovely quiet and relaxing location. The cottage was so clean and modern and luxurious to stay in with an amazing hot tub in the garden. Excellent value for money and would recommend to anyone and certainly book again

Hot tub didn't work for 3 days. Wi-Fi rarely worked. so the two things we booked the holiday for didn't work. Shame as cottage was lovely although 3rd bedroom wasn't really big enough for two adults!

Lovely cottage in a quiet location. Owners were great, very helpful and knowledgeable. Cottage was clean and well maintained with lots of nice touches. Anderby Creek beach was stunning and plenty of local places to visit nearby. Would definitely stay again.

The heating didn’t work for two nights and it got really cold. The hot tub was broken although the did offer us £40 off at £10 a night as compensation, but we had to allow the engineer access as they had booked him to come whilst we were still there. He didn’t fix it. Various other small issues including no internet as they had just had a new router and they never gave us the password, so that cost us an extra £15 using mobile data to supply our own. Other issues with the property like shower not very good and it needed a really good clean and shower tray nearly overflows, cooker extractor broken and dirty hob rings filled place with smelly smoke, we ended up opening the doors which made the place even colder considering the heating wasn’t on and there was clear miscommunication between the owners and the letting agents as they thought we were leaving on the Thursday and we had paid to stay until the Friday, probably why the hot tub engineer was booked for while we were still there. Positives were that it was run by a genuinely nice couple but sadly the negatives mean we would be unlikely to go back.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We always welcome feedback but are disappointed and upset that you felt you could only score us a three when all the other reviews are between eight and ten. We did speak about the heating and I am at a loss as to why it didn't work on two of the nights you were with us. We have never had any problems with it before or since but the controls are complicated which is why I looked at them and sorted it out while you were here. When we realised the hot tub was not working I told the Agency and they suggested you may want to cancel, change location or still come with compensation for the lack of the hot tub and we were pleased you still wanted to come. Access to the hot tub can be through the cottage or the garden. This meant that you would not have been inconvenienced by the spa engineer and as you told me on the morning that he was due you were out all day and you did not see him at all. It was discovered that a new pump was required which was ordered and has now been fitted. He came as soon as he could which happened to coincide with your stay. As for the Internet, there may have been miscommunication because the new router was not working during your stay so the old one was still in use. The Internet connection is sometimes weak because of our location. I have spoken to my cleaning team and the shower has been steam cleaned and the grout is being seen to. The only reason the hob may have smoked was because the cleaning team had used Cif cream to clean them and may not have rinsed them thoroughly enough. The cooker hood is being looked at today and we will either have it fixed or buy a new one. This has been the only time the cottage has been free since March so it has been the first time we have been able to sort certain things out.
