The owners have refurbished the property to a high standard and have ensured that modern fittings (including the addition of wireless broadband) combine well with the traditional features creating a warm, homely feel throughout. Fine views can be enjoyed from the living room and front bedrooms, and the enclosed rear patio is sure to be put to good use on many occasions. For those who enjoy fishing, the Esthwaite Trout Fishery is about 6 miles away. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

Extremely well equipped house, really comfortable beds. Good location for exploring the forests and within easy reach of many Lake District attractions. The TV was a disappointment - very much hit and miss as to whether it was going to work or not. Having given up on the TV, tried the DVD player but that didn't work well either as a disk just locked up half way through.

Was a lovely cottage. Very well equipped, presented nicely. Parking was a bit of a squeeze for one, so wouldn’t recommend 2 cars. Beds were advertised as small doubles, did the job however second double had hardly any room for movement around the bed. Cleanliness was good, bathrooms etc - apart from the cobwebs everywhere (behind curtains, corners etc) but I guess it’s an oversight as I imagine getting to these places are often not thought of when doing the change overs. Make sure to read the manual of the oven before using - they’ve left a note on what to do (we thought bottom oven was broken until we read about the way it needs to be used) jaccazzi in the bath either doesn’t work or couldn’t figure it out. It’s set very privately away from local amenities such as shops etc, but has a nice local pub, lots of beautiful views and walks. Closed off garden is not fully closed off so small children and pets have to be monitored at all times. We really enjoyed our stay there and felt comfortable and safe. Neighbours were lovely. Would definitely stay again

accomodation was excellent as was location. local pub 2 minutes walk away has great food and beer garden and great walks for dogs at bogle crag 3 minute drive and even more walks at grizedale forest 10 minute drive. only minor detail was that the fridge freezer in utility room appeared not to work and i hope that the owners realised this and does not affect our security deposit
