Lovely cottage set perfectly for exploring the local area. Well equipped and beautifully clean, comfortable beds and quiet location. Traffic noise not an issue, lots of local activities and days out. Our first visit to Wales, loved it, we and the children want to return - to the same cottage.

There is a very musty/damp smell throughout the property mostly in bedrooms which will get into your clothes. The beds are very old and mattress very uncomfortable. Furniture and equipment needs replacing/ modernising. The pub just up the road is closed for business. The A477 gives rise to much traffic noise whilst sat in the garden however this is not noticeable inside to be fair. Overall fairly disappointing and not what I expected. Good location for local beaches though.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner. We're very disappointed to hear any concerns regarding your stay, as no issues were raised throughout your holiday. The property is aired thouraly we can only assume that the smell to which you refer was due to the drain blockage caused by a nappy early in your stay (bathroom next to bedroom) Which has now been attended to. (It would have been appreciated if you'd have let me know). All mattresses are new as are divans. Whilst we are not responsible for local businessess we can advise that the nearby Public House has been recently purchased and will reopen in the near future. Of all our guest's stays yours is the first to make an adverse comment about the road noise, we appreciate your opinion and are sorry you did not enjoy your stay more.

Nice cottage in beautiful surroundings. No shops or pubs within miles. Nothing to do at nights. Single beds very uncomfortable due to old fashioned springs Everything clean and landlady friendly.
