Lovely, cosy cottage in beautiful, peaceful and remote location. Unfortunately for us that proved to be a drawback as the snow threatened to cut us off from the outside world. Such a shame, but that's nature. The cottage was spotless, the bed was a delight and the lounge was cosy and welcoming. Polite suggestion, replace the towels, they let down an otherwise beautifully presented property.

A very comfortable, warm and well appointed cottage, even in the depth of Winter. Plenty to see around and about. If the opportunity arose, we would certainly visit again (perhaps in the cricket season!). Would also recommend it to friends and family. Thank you. Sorry didn't take a photo (not sure how to download!). Tony Fleetwood

Although clean, well equipped and in a lovely setting, Willow Lodge was a little damp smelling and not well ventilated. Unfortunately, I am susceptible to damp from a health point of view.

Cottage booked for long weekend stay. Arrived at 4.00 on a bright Friday afternoon. Cottage already dark and gloomy inside. Cottage smelled very damp and very musty-bedding and soft furnishings felt clammy. No-one around at main house. We stayed only one night and left next morning - no-one about to tell. Also has a most uncomfortable bed( see other reviews on this) We have stayed with Country cottages half a dozen times and never had such a poor experience-cottages are usually excellent. Location was OK, cottage equipped to a satisfactory level for a short break. Towels for bathroom a bit thin and over washed.
