Thoughtfully renovated, Willow Cottage is a lovely 18th century, terraced, traditional Devon retreat, combining contemporary features with classic touches. Don’t be fooled by the narrow frontage, this is an incredibly roomy house. Step inside and you’ll find yourself in the cosy snug. This lovely room is the perfect place to curl up and enjoy the peace and quiet after a busy day exploring the South Hams. Next stop is the very comfortable living room, complete with two settees – one which converts to a double bed (for flexible sleeping arrangements).
Then you’ll find a lovely dining room with a table for 10 and a bookcase filled with books and games. With local Devon produce available nearby, feel inspired to cook for the rest of the group, and the well-equipped kitchen is just the place to do it. With everything you need to cook up a storm, and a large oven to make things even easier, a stay at Willow Cottage is perfect for gathering the family in the spacious dining room and tucking in. There is a good choice of board games, jigsaws and books for all ages, ensuring fun for all the family.

When it’s time to step outside, the lawned garden has plenty of space for games and picnics, and includes a picnic bench. The terrace, just off the kitchen, makes the perfect spot for barbecues, or to sit back and enjoy the lovely setting over a glass of wine or warming tea. The garden contains a charcoal barbecue and rattan dining furniture for eating in the open air on sunny days and balmy summer evenings. Relax and enjoy the birds sing.
Willow Cottage is located in the village of Kingston, just off the beaten track, yet easily accessible by road. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Kingston is a picturesque, unspoilt village, celebrated for its tranquillity and renowned ancient pub - The Dolphin - which is a short 200 metre walk away and serves great beer and home-cooked food. It’s perfect for exploring the south Devon coast, from Dartmouth to Kingsbridge, Salcombe and Plymouth, or inland for day trips discovering the wild beauty of the Dartmoor National Park. Enjoy river boat trips at Newton Ferrers or Dartmouth, take the sea tractor out to Burgh Island, or ride heritage steam trains on the Dart Valley and Torbay Steam Railways. And, if you’re a fan of the 1996 version of Sense and Sensibility, you’ll find the cottage used as Barton Cottage just 2 miles away, on the other side of the Erme. Also close by are the excellent golf courses of Bigbury, Thurlestone and Wrangaton. Beach 1½ miles. Local shop at St Anne’s Chapel 1½ miles, pub and restaurants in Ringmoor 1 mile, Modbury 3½ miles and Kingsbridge 9 miles.

We visited this cottage for new year as three families with four children between us all. It is a beautiful cottage and so much bigger than it appears when you look at it from the front of the house. There is more than enough cutlery/crockery and glassware supplies without having rob constantly wash every by hand which was very welcomed by us. Let’s be honest when you go away you want to be able to leave the sink behind! The cottage has more than enough separate areas for you all to be comfortable and not on top of each other if you want your own space. The only downside to this cottage is the parking, there isn’t specific parking for the cottage, it’s a case of finding somewhere on the road which isn’t a problem as there are plenty of options but it does make for an interesting load and unload of your suitcases etc! Would definitely recommend this and would certainly come back again! Many thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home

We rented the cottage for a family wedding in Ugborough which was about 20 minutes away. It was clean, spacious and fully equipped. The owner Juliet communicated well, gave us lots of tips and left a lovely welcome pack of wine, biscuits, tea, coffee and milk which was most appreciated.
