Don't expect much amenities as it's a remote location but you have a shop and post office nearby. We loved this place for it remoteness and views.

We have stayed there 9 times which says it all. Each time we have stayed there has been continued improvement in additions to the cottage be that new carpets or the addition of a dishwasher. This time there was a guitar!

We had a fabulous time. The cottage is really secluded yet not too isolated from other houses and a good wee post office/shop. Lots of places to explore. Fab beaches not far away. The views from the garden simply stunning. Lovely garden We were warm and comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped(note: if you plan to cook pasta for 4 take your own large pasta saucepan!) We would definitely recommend it and come back. Also the game room was a fantastic added bonus. Thank you Enrica

Lovely, well equipped, comfortable cottage in superb location. Gave local amenities score of 10, but of course, this is a remote area so if anyone is looking for lots of amenities, then the score would be considerably lower. An adequately stocked friendly local PO, with petrol available, was fine for us, & slightly wider amenities were available within a few miles. Only thing that could improve this place is WiFi. There are those who like to be completely cut off, but it is quite an inconvenience for others. Phone signal good. Overall, fabulous holiday & cannot fault Wilderness Retreat.

The cottage was spacious, with full explanations of how everything worked - and I mean everything! The shop/post office a couple of minutes away was great, but that's it. The main downside is its situation means there are a lot of midges. The games room would be great for families.
