Situated above the village of Gilwern in the Brecon Beacons National Parks and on the edge of the Blaenavon World Heritage Site, this property makes a great escape with walking and cycling, and plenty of the Monmouthshire countryside to be seen and enjoyed. The property lies within the Route 46 Cycle Path with different length routes allowing you to cycle as far as Neath.
Lots of areas of interest are easily accessible from this property. Abergavenny is 5 miles from here and boasts coffee shops, boutiques, a castle and a museum. Head for the Brecon Beacons, and for the more energetic, a walk up Pen y Fan is worth the effort, or take a more leisurely ride on the Brecon Mountain Railway. Whatever you decide to do this lovely property will feel like home from home. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

    Excellent holiday.. Spectacular views from the cottage.. Comfortable with everything you would ever need.. Jill and Brian were wonderfully accommodating with helpful suggestions when needed.. I can't recommend it highly enough.. We were also blessed with good weather which helps! Loads of things to do from the cottage so an ideal location for exploring.

    We stayed a week in the newly listed accomodation. Despite the travel directions the location was not easy to find but with the guidance of the owner we got there. From that moment on there was literally nothing to complain about: beautiful location on the slope of a hill overlooking the other side of the valley. A stunning appartment, fully brand new equipped, spacy bedroom and bathroom, nice outdoors, delicious welcome package. The owners were very helpful. There is hardly any traffic coming by which gives the opportunity to enjoy the sound of silence and every than and again a sheep, monkey, woodpecker of buzzard.
