Excellent location and remarkable views. However the place needs a deep clean, floors are pretty dirty so you have to walk around in footwear or give it a thorough mop yourself on day 1 which was not ideal. Kitchen utensils etc are all aged and pretty grimey. The two bedrooms to the sheltered side of the house feel damp with a funny smell but you get used to it. Alternatively, the master bedroom is stunning and has a great view. All in all a good stay, the place just needs a deep clean and some air fresheners and it has potential to be a cracking stay.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We are stunned with your feedback. The house is thoroughly cleaned between each & every guest. It is audited annually, when we are not there so is not “prepared” and feedback on cleanliness is excellent. Any comments prior & since in relation to cleanliness have been very positive. There is not & has never been any issue with damp nor any smell of any sort in any bedroom. The floors were perhaps slightly damp when you first entered as they were just mopped as we arranged an early check in as you were travelling with an infant. The cutlery is stainless steel, the cooking implements are a mix & on review, a few have slight melt marks however nothing that impairs usage. They are also cleaned/checked between guests & they are also audited. We would not accept the alleged issues if we checked into a house, therefore we are surprised not to have heard of any issues directly from you during your stay. It is impossible to check and review any possible issues months later. I trust that you enjoyed the early check in, the selection of condiments & extras available to you, flexible check out & rounding down of the electricity charge.

I booked this cottage for myself, my son, his best friends and my best friend. We had the best time! The views were breathtaking, getting up in the morning, going to sit on the decking, with a cup of tea looking out on the ocean and breathing in that sea air was bliss! We did the Dunbrody Famine Ship Experience in New Ross, Hook Lighthouse & Loftus Hall, haunted house! All of these in Co. Wexford and within reach of the cottage! They were all fantastic! The boys enjoyed visiting the beach most days, which they loved! We have come away with some great photos and even greater memories. Very recommended!!!
