Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The owner Denise was great, very helpful and full of loads of recommendations for places to visit. The pictures do not do this property justice, it is lovely and very homely, everything you need is here.

The cottage was nice and spacious although we did have cleaning issues which we raised and were dealt with by the owner promptly. The garden although fenced off and safe for the dog it is not very private as there is a farm track on one side, car traffic to other properties on the other side and the end main bedroom is feet away from a, sometimes, busy main road with fast traffic on a bend. It was slightly nerve racking as apparently previously a vehicle has hit the owners wall and whilst we were there a little bit down the road a car went off the road and into a hedge. We were just worrying that something might hit the end bedroom. The cottage is quite near to woods to walk the dog and also not far from the beach.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We are obviously disappointed with your comments which we believe give a misleading impression for our future guests. We feel that we were extremely understanding of your circumstances, accepted your booking at very short notice your arrival day and allowed entry to the property 3 hours prior to normal. Whilst we admit there were minor cleaning issues which were dealt with immediately we also provided you with an extra bottle of wine and a bag of logs at your request despite the hot weather as a gesture of goodwill. You gave every impression at the time that you were happy with our actions. The property is indeed located next to a farm, as our trading name implies, and is accessed via a country road with a 40 mile limit. There is some traffic in the mornings and evenings as you would expect in a working community and area popular with holiday makers. The accident you refer to was a freak incident last summer involving an elderly lady who had a minor episode whilst driving past our property and is the only such incident we are aware of in the 300 years the farm buildings have been here. The garden has been fully screened at the farm end and stock fenced to the rest of the boundary to allow countryside views. We have planted hedging around the perimeter earlier this year which is establishing itself and will provide for additional privacy whilst still allowing enjoyment of the views.
