Great holiday cottage, very friendly but not intrusive owner. Beautiful location, the sea isn't too far away however there aren't any shops nearby.

On arrival the downtairs of cottage was full of flies there was a fly strip full of dead flies thougout our stay it was not possible to use kitchen as was infested with flies also wet room & dining room we asked landlady for more fly strips she failed to supply any saying she left 2 cans of fly spray in cottage not suitable to use as ive got astema son hayfever husband got cancer and we had out pet dog with us this spoilt our only holiday this year

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; The property is located in deepest rural Suffolk, the drought weather and extremely hot temperatures encouraged the problem with the flies. To alleviate the situation, which everyone in the neighbourhood had issues with; I tried to help you and set out to buy some more fly strips however, the Co-Op no longer sold them so I bought you two cans of fly spray. I was not aware of your asthma. The full fly strip you could have removed and disposed of quite easily. The property offers a lawned garden with sitting-out area and furniture; this is advertised within the property description on the website. The garden is not enclosed and we ask that pets are kept on a lead at all times. We feel sad the holiday was spoiled by all you mentioned. Wishing you and your family all good wishes for the future.

After many stays in cottages, this was warm, spacious and had everything we needed.

The cottage had a great old world charm and, unlike other properties we have stayed in, actually felt like a cottage. The wet room was a very welcome facility, the kitchen was huge, the living room lovely and cosy and the bedrooms extremely comfortable. Parking was good and the owner was the best owner we have encountered in years of renting holiday cottages. She was exceptionally helpful and made us feel like welcome guests rather than clients. Would have no hesitation in using this cottage again or recommending this cottage to other people. This was one of the best holidays we have had.
