Cottage was clean and well stocked but a bit shabby. One of our party has limited mobility and found getting from the car to the cottage difficult due to a gravel driveway and overgrown (but lovely) garden plants. Access to the cottage itself was fine and the downstairs bedroom was great. We had tea, coffee, biscuits and milk left for us and cooked our own meals without problems. The local farm sells eggs. This is a truly rural location with beautiful views across the fields but if you leave the doors and/or windows open, flying insects are a bit of a problem. The owner has taken some measures to mitigate this but we used fly spray liberally. Overall we enjoyed our stay, using it as a base to explore the area down the winding country lanes.

There needs to be more clear instructions as to where exactly the entrance to the property is i.e. at the end of the left hand side of the whole building, down the side path immediately to the right of the adjacent property - "The Poachers". Previous feed back indicates others have had the same problem.

Lovely cottage, more rural than we expected, but our fault! Owner next door was super helpful.
