Wheal Daniels is a beautiful cottage that is well equipped in a lovely location which means you can see all Cornwall has to offer. This is the second time we have stayed with our dog and we will be back again.

we enjoyed this cottage. it has enough space for our family of 5 (inc teens and young adults) and a golden retriever. the cottage was very clean and had most things we needed for a good stay. the Christmas hamper was fabulous and a nice touch. could have done with more seating in the lounge but we brought in a chair from the hall. bathrooms are modern and 3 toilets is always a bonus with teens! the pale carpets were a challenge to keep clean in a wet, muddy and windy week as our dog loves muddy puddles and racing through waves so we appreciated the outdoor tap and hose and we needed this every time we came in from a walk for cleaning dog and boots.Glad we brought lots of dog towels with us! the garden is not absolutely dog proof if you have a dog who jumps up on walls easily just to see what's on the other side! Our dog got out of the garden on the first day as there is a low wall at one end - no harm done as we supervise our dog at all times. Great to have a field behind the house for the early morning canine walks before breakfast. this house is a great location for both North and South coasts and as we enjoy going to both - the location was good.

We had a wonderful week in this cottage. We give it a fantastic 10 for most areas apart from the location but that is simply because (through no fault of the cottage) we unfortunately scratched our car on both sides as one of the lanes (straight over at the cross roads as you leave the cottage) is very very narrow with huge brambles either side. As long as you avoid this lane, I highly recommend a stay at Wheal Daniel. It would have been good to have somewhere indoors to dry towels and washing (the washing line is great but not helpful when it's raining) but apart from that the house is very well equipped. We couldn't get the microwave to work but the house is so clean, comfortable, spacious and lovely that we can forgive these few niggles. We look forward to staying again next time we visit Cornwall :)
