A quaint 14th Century packhorse footbridge across the river (known locally as Little Emily’s Bridge) is just a moment’s walk away. Alternatively from the grounds of the 12th-century church is access to the stepping stones across the river and a path through the fields leading to Hebden and Burnsall, you will discover many picnic spots along the way. Linton has a country inn renowned for its fine ales and excellent food with the surrounding villages offering plenty of choice for dining out. Further along the valley is the abbey ruins and priory at Bolton Abbey and just a 20-minute drive away is the market town of Skipton with its imposing castle, open air markets, shops and restaurants.
