Disclaimer - this house is not for anyone over 6 feet tall! It's a lovely cottage, with great facilities & the hosts have done a great job with it, and providing a number of extras on arrival, and my ratings reflect that - but if I'd known that I couldn't stand up straight in the main room or kitchen I wouldn't have booked it!

Westover Cottage is delightful. The location is very quiet, and was excellent for us, as it was close enough to visit relatives living around Oxford. Listening to the birdsong in the garden was a joy. The kitchen was tiny, with hardly any space to serve meals, and no space to store any provisions. However, we managed, and accepted that it was just part of the charm of an old cottage. The only other niggle was the beam at the foot of the stairs! Anyone taller than 5'4" would have to be very careful! The bed was wonderfully comfortable, and we much appreciated all the amenities provided...especially the excellent radio. Beautiful, fluffy towels were also provided. A lovely cottage which we warmly recommend.

Certainly compact, but cosy and comfy. A good base for us for seeing friends locally for the weekend. The hosts (Ann) were very helpful in relation to departure time, and the welcome items were particularly helpful for us. It is a small country cottage (with all that would usually entail). We enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again when in the area.
