Warwick Castle is just minutes away from this Grade II listed cottage, with beams, ancient timbers and secluded garden.

This delightful Grade II listed cottage is situated just a few minutes’ walk from the magnificent castle, within the heart of historic Warwick. Dating back to the 1500s, the cottage has been carefully modernised to retain its period character with ancient timbers, and even original pick axe marks still visible in the stone walls of the cellar. Tastefully furnished and well equipped, this idyllic, cosy, holiday hideaway is only a short stroll from a wide selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. Although adjoining another property, the cottage has its own secluded, pretty garden in which to relax after a busy day’s sightseeing in Stratford (10 minutes), Leamington Spa or Kenilworth. Shops 100 yards, pubs within 1 mile.

Eight steps to entrance. Charming beamed living room with sofa-bed (for +1). Spacious beamed fitted kitchen with Belfast sink. Two steps leading to dining room/conservatory with door to garden. Steep, narrow steps to cellar. First floor: Attractive double bedroom with TV, brass and iron bedstead (child’s airbed available on request, alternative sleeping only). Beautiful cottage situated in a great location. We were visiting family who live in the area so it was better than staying in a hotel because they could visit us in the cottage. I would definitely come back to the cottage.

My son and I had a very enjoyable time staying at Westgate Cottage. It is cosy, comfortable and full of character and very sympathetically furnished. There are many little touches that make the experience feel special, such as the fresh flowers and plants, the luxurious towels, all that you need to make a drink the minute you get into the cottage as well as a cake! Thank you Tina

We spent 3 very enjoyable nights at Westgate Cottage. We arrived early but Tina was quite happy you allow us to leave our luggage and contacted us as soon as she had finished cleaning etc. The cottage was spotlessly clean and everything we could have needed was provided. The location was perfect - within a couple of minutes walk of the town centre. Warwick castle which is well worth visiting is 10 minutes walk away. We would not hesitate to return.

We enjoyed our stay in this small, historic “city cottage” ideally suited for a couple exploring Warwick on foot from the doorstep. Apart from one unavoidable day trip out of town by car, we managed a week without it. In fact, our original intention had been to travel by train from home. Every amenity is within easy walking distance and we found the local park excellent for a healthy walk first thing in the morning. You’ll have plenty of company as this park is very popular for exercise. Also for quiet relaxation by the River Avon at any time of the day.

Fantastic location to visit all the interesting places in Warwick just park your car when you arrive and no need to use again if you don't want to. There is a good bus service into Stratford and Coventry. Amazing diversity of eateries to choose from. Although the cottage is on a busy road the traffic didn't disturb our sleep. The cottage has everything you could want and Tina was on hand if needed. The cakes that greeted us on arrival were absolutely delicious.

Wow, what a great place and great location. Perfect for exploring Warwick and its surroundings. Tina was fantastic, called and gave all the information we needed, clearly and with no confusion. And great recommendations. Her place is lovely, so comfortable and well equipped.
