West End Farm, up until the 1950’s, used to be a working rose farm and grew many varieties. There are still many roses around the garden, giving a small insight into the past. Battle Abbey, which houses one of the largest tapestries in Europe, is only a short drive away, as is the spot where King Harold is reputed to have died, shot in the eye, meaning you can step back in time and discover what this historically rich area has to offer.Alternatively modern attractions such as Drusillias Zoo are only a short distance away. If you fancy an evening spent star gazing then pop down to the Herstomceux Science Centre and get hands-on with activities, and discover the telescopes and domes of the world famous astronomical observatory. Good rail links to London and Tonbridge are also a short distance from the property, giving the best of both worlds. Beach 12 miles. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
