Stayed for 4 nights in May this year as a couple with two dogs. We planned a small break away that had to be dog friendly and near places to walk two energetic spaniels and this place fitted the bill nicely. On arrival we were met by a member of staff that work at the farm and shown to our cottage which was round the back first thing we noticed was the views which were overlooking the field at the back there was a a little bit of a trek from the car park to the cottage but we were able to back the car relatively close to unpack. Once in the cottage the downstairs area had two sofas a TV and a kitchenette which was well equipped and as a nice touch there was tea and coffee making kit and a very welcomed pack of bacon, sausage, eggs and fresh rolls a very nice touch. Next to the living area was a down stairs bathroom with toilet, basin and shower all very clean , upstairs was the bedroom which was spacious and ample storage for cloths the ceiling was a little low and only had a small velux window but this caused no issues. The Cottage is situated between Scarborough and Whitby and opposite some very accessible woodland areas to walk which the dogs loved to the East at Ravenscar was a golf course which I hasten to say I didn't use as I don't play but just down the back was a beach area with a seal sanctuary on the day we went there were seals and you can get quite close as long as you stand a respectable distance away they didn't seem too bothered by us and the dogs were kept on a lead anyway. I rated our overall stay 9/10 only because it is near a main road the sound of the traffic didn't pose an issue but you did have to cross it to go anywhere other than that we were made very welcome by the owners who have obviously worked hard to impress and yes we would recommend this place and we would stay again. Thursday they bake fresh on site and make very nice pies.

Wonderful stay at our favourite holiday cottage. A perfect cottage for a quiet getaway for couples with dogs. Great local walks and pub. This time we even managed to sit out in the garden! Perfect!

We loved our stay, it was comfortable and home from home and perfectly situated for our adventures in Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby, to name two. We liked being out in the countryside and didn't mind travelling to Cloughton or Scarborough for our groceries, just worked it in round our travels. We will definitely stay again next time we are holidaying in this part of Yorkshire.
