Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you so much for your great review, which along with the comments of other guests this year makes all our hard work renovating and re- equipping Waverley over winter 18 worthwhile. We are so glad you had a super holiday and look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

The lounge needs attention. We have stayed at Waverley every year for about 8 years and nothing has been updated. The lounge was not comfortable and we left 3 days early because of this.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments Julia. We have recently taken on the property and agreed to honour the bookings already made. Those are now complete and we are currently redecorating the property, putting in a dishwasher, new cooker, new fridge, new beds, new lounge furniture, TV and Wi-Fi. The property will be available from 8th December 2018 in its new form.

Unfortunately the lack of on site parking was not ideal although we knew when booking there was none , the location of the long stay car park which was excellent for costs, was just too steep to keep negotiating every day. Plus access to WI FI I feel should be available in the property and also a better quality television is needed especially for winter lets when you are more inclined to spend nights indoors, the television in the property had a poor quality sound.

We had a fantastic week in Lyme Regis , staying at Waverley Cottage . There is no access to the frontage of the cottage for a car and therefore difficult to unload your luggage .The cottage is situated in a quaint lane , and all shops , beach and attractions are easily accessible by foot .There are many places to eat out , but our favourite was Swim on the sea front , excellent food and good service !Overall Waverley is a lovely cottage which we have stayed at several times , it has everything you need for a relaxing time .

We had a lovely holiday, fossil hunting and then coming back for something to eat and drink in the local pubs. Great location and quiet.

Should make it clear its not possible to stand and shower in the bath. Also there are no grab rails to assist getting in and out of the bath, which is especially important if someone is less mobile. Consideration should also be given to having darker curtains in the bedrooms, as the yellow curtains do not omit light once dawn has broken. Apart from that the cottage is comfortable.

The cottage was great only downside was the shower was over the bath with no screen or standing room very difficult it you have any problems getting in or out of the bath. But definatly a good place to stay.

Great position for shops, pubs, beach, harbour and you can walk to all of them. Not great for unloading as can't drive down the very narrow lane . You also have to park on a very busy road at the top Of lane for unloading and carry everything down. Wouldn't recommend for people who are not so good walking. You then have to carry everything to the bottom of the lane to reload to go home.
