Enjoyed our stay at Waters Edge. It is a lovely place, very peaceful with the river Foss at the end of the garden. Very clean and comfortable. Within easy reach of all that York has to offer.

The cottage was very comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed having the back patio on sunny nights. The beds were cosy and comfy too. The area was quiet. We’d definitely stay here again.

Very enjoyable week at Waters Edge - well located being only just outside the city walls 5-10 mins walk to the centre of the city, nice and quiet at night, spotlessly clean and tidy, bed a wee bit uncomfortable, shower was excellent, wifi reasonable, TV has Prime and Netflix which was a bonus. Best part was the patio area out the back which we used most mornings and evenings as it was a sun trap - especially in the evening. Would definitely recommend this property.

My wife and I were really impressed by the location and the quality of the accommodation. Considering the location is so close to York it was really peaceful and quiet. We walked to the castle museum in seven minutes. We have not been to York for 50 years, we were really impressed with the friendliness of the locals,

Couldn’t fault this property. It was spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. The outdoor patio/garden area overlooking the river was also clean and well tended- it was lovely to sit there and relax with a glass of wine after a busy day! The cottage’s close proximity to the city (about 15minutes walk) was a bonus, and the parking space right outside was ideal. I have 2 tiny niggles- 1 toilet roll was insufficient( I couldn’t find spares), and a mirror downstairs would have saved those last minute trips upstairs before leaving. We definitely would stay here again.

Really enjoyable stay, everything supplied that was required and such a quiet location for it being so close to city centre - looking forward to a return trip.
