Description

This charming, wooden detached holiday lodge, with private decking, lies in the heart of the Lake District surrounded by beautiful woodland grounds.

This charming, wooden detached holiday lodge, with private decking, lies in the heart of the Lake District surrounded by beautiful woodland grounds. Neaum Crag is a private, wooded hillside development in the Langdale Valley and is home to deer, badgers and red squirrels, who freely roam amongst the lodges. The open plan living areas are great for making the most of time away with friends and family. From the living room, the French doors open onto private decking, an ideal place to sit and unwind on with a glass of wine. The lodge has a small enclosed garden area for dogs, and benefits from walks direct from the door to Elterwater, Loughrigg Tarn and the fells beyond. It really is an ideal location for walking, mountain biking, touring and watersports. Visit Brockhole, the Lake District Visitor Centre near Windermere, or the Beatrix Potter Exhibition at Bowness. Ambleside, 4 miles, has a cinema and an array of shops and attractions. Hawkshead is also only 4 miles away. Shop 3 miles, pub/restaurant ½ mile.

Amazing!! The lodge is kitted out to the highest spec. The beds are comfortable, the bedding, duvets and pillows are super quality. The entertainment system has all the apps, Netflix, Prime and all the catch up programmes. The kitchen has everything you could want and is practically brand new! The walks straight out the door are incredible, you can go a different way each day for a week and still find new places. The site is spacious, the pool is a little cold but we still used it everyday and we even heard deers, foxes and saw a red squirrel! A perfect stay, thank you so much.

We loved our holiday and would revisit Wastwater it was very relaxing. The location was wonderful, amongst woodland and our 2 year old labrador loved it. The accommodation was spotless and there were lovely touches provided by the owners. The nearest shop for groceries, however, is several miles away so you need to drive there. There was a pub nearby down a steep hill along with the beautiful Skelwith Bridge. You need to have good mobility to go up and down the hills surrounding the cottage. The only point with the furniture was that there was only 1 double settee, 1 armchair and 2 rocking chairs so it was not always possible to get a comfortable seat to relax and read in. The location is very close to Grasmere, Ambleside, Coniston and Hawkeshead.

Great accommodation, very well equipped and clean. Swimming pool is small but good for a kids splash around. Lovely walks from your door and a good location to explore further afield.

a lovely place to stay. The cabin was spacious enough for 4 (perhaps 6 would be a push), spotlessly clean, well equipped, and set in beautiful countryside. All the amenities of Ambleside and Windermere are a short drive away. The indoor pool was very much on the small side but our children enjoyed it and the on-site table tennis. We went at the beginning of July so many of the cabins were unoccupied. In high Summer they may feel a little too close to each other - but you get what you pay for! All in all a lovely stay.
