We had a really lovely short break to visit the Harrogate Christmas market. We would definitely recommend this property to our family and friends.

Compact well equipped and warm Lodge within driving distance of the Harrogate, Skipton and Ripon area. Very friendly owner. Quite easily accommodated three adults although four may be a squeeze as there isn't much room in the twin bedroom. Two children would be fine though. Had outdoor seating area but not able to use due to inclement November weather :) Close to Swinsty & Fewston Reservoirs for a nice level walk with dogs and children. Only downside I would say is that the entrance is directly off the A59 which is very busy at times. Overall a good value for money short break

This is a working farm and has all the noise and smells of a working farm, the family are friendly and the farm is very clean. This was a fantastic holiday for my family, a well placed location for the area close to Harrogate and York. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone who would be interested in visiting Yorkshire. The cottage is on the A59 and has so many places to visit Knaresborough castle is only 20 mins away and York 30 mins. Lovely driving through the County, we drove to Gauthland and caught the steam train to Whitby, and the chocolate experience at York is a must. Plenty of great places to eat out that are close to the cottage.

A great situation and a sweet lodge, all on one level after you get up three steps to enter. Perhaps the owners could make a ramp to ease entry for the disabled. There was no toilet roll in one of the toilets; it would be a nice touch to sort this for the next guests. It was clean, very pleasant and comfortable, and I recommend it.
