Mentioned in the Domesday Book, this 100-acre working farm, on the slopes of the pretty Teign Valley, is ideal for both family holidays and those wanting peace and quiet. Next to the owner’s home, this delightful thatched farmhouse has a small, enclosed, south-facing garden in the farmyard. Children will love the galleries in the bedrooms and they are encouraged to help with the animals. Bring wellies for the farm! Visitors are free to wander over the farmland which has an abundance of wildlife. Hennock, a farming village, is a 10-minute walk. Bovey Tracey with several shops, pubs and restaurants, and Cantonteign Falls, reputed to be the highest waterfall in England, are both within 2 miles. Teignmouth’s sandy beach is just 7 miles away and there is excellent walking and riding on nearby Dartmoor. Four golf courses and a heated indoor swimming pool with sports facilities are within 5 miles. Exeter, Torbay, Dartmouth and Totnes are within ½ hour’s drive.

Accommodation good for our extended family. Close to Dartmoor and Canonteign Falls both lovely days out. Typical Devon roads which we found challenging but didn’t stop us getting about to see the sights. All in all a lovely week, even if the weather could have been a bit sunnier.

A charming farmhouse set in peaceful surroundings ‘off the beaten track’. Well appointed and comfortable. We would certainly visit again if we had reason to.
