Virginia Lodge is an ideal place from which to stay whilst exploring the local area. This single storey semi-detached holiday annexe is adjacent to the owner’s home and is comfortably furnished. With a pleasant sitting-out area, it really is somewhere to return to after a long day out. The property is located just outside the coastal town of Watchet. There is superb scenery and walking on the South West Coastal Path or inland on Exmoor and many other places to visit to make a memorable holiday. The Victorian villages of Lynmouth and Lynton, are famous for the Watersmeet Gorge (National Trust), valley of the rocks and the funicular cliff railway. Looking towards Minehead, there is the promenade to enjoy a walk and an icecream as well as having a good array of shops and other amenities. The West Somerset Railway is worth a visit for those with an interest in stream engines. Dunster Castle (National Trust) and village, with its beautiful terraced gardens, deer park and mill will make for an interesting day out as well as Porlock Weir. There are beaches at Dunster and Blue Anchor for all to enjoy. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

A pleasant area but the property had no outlook or views, a bank of soil at the rear and hedges around the rest of the property preventing any 'open outlook'. While the bedrooms and bathroom were large enough, the dining/kitchen area was small with limited seating (one 2x settee and 1x chair). The space between the settee and the TV mounted on the wall with fold up dining room table to the side of the front door and the chair limited the the space and made you feel 'boxed' in. No garden, only a front area of gravel for use and not having a decent flat grass area to site and enjoy a warm evening was also disappointing.
