Fabulous cottage lovely modern fixtures and top quality bedding . Location was very peaceful and all the locals so friendly . Only downside was that there wasn’t really anywhere to let the dogs run free as all the fields were livestock or crops . Garden was more than adequate for us to relax in and have wine and watch the sun go down . John and Laura were only a phone call away should we need anything . A lovely welcome pack of cake freshly baked bread Teabags, milk and proseco . Beautiful coastal walks stunning scenery and port Isaac only 50 minutes away . Highly recommend for a peaceful break .

Fantastic cottage for two people and up to two dogs! The cottage is wonderfully comfortable, clean, fully equipped and very well presented. Situated in quiet country lane, near to owners but private. Small, fully enclosed garden which is safe for dogs. Great location with walks from the door and central for exploring other areas along the coastline. Would thoroughly recommend.

Excellent getaway cottage for walkers and couples. We took our 6 month old daughter and couldn’t have asked for more from the warm and well equipt accommodation.

My husband and I and our two Poochons loved Vines Cottage. It had everything we needed and we were welcomed by John who was very warm and welcoming. We enjoyed and very much appreciated the delicious cake, which lasted over half our stay, lovely loaf of bread, milk, butter, tea and coffee as well as a nice bottle of sparkling wine in the fridge. The area and coastline is spectacular and there were lots of fantastic places to visit. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and John told us the mattress was made locally with wool. It was hard to get out of bed in the morning! My husband and I would like to purchase one. As a result of our visit we would love to go back to the area and are seriously thinking about retiring to Hartland. So if you love a quiet, rural and spectacular coastline in a cosy, comfortable, clean and well appointed cottage we highly recommend Vines Cottage in Hartland. We were there when the weather really was not that good and we had a lot of rain but we still had a great time and absolutely loved it and in a nutshell we could not find a single fault in our visit.
