These eight holiday apartments are situated in a renovated manor house of an estate located on part of the Via Francigena, which passes through the village of Montaione. ITN176, ITN177, ITN178, ITN181 are on the ground floor, while ITN179, ITN180 and ITN182 are on the first floor, and ITN183 spans over two floors. The estate consists of a farmhouse and barn, dating back to the 18th-century, and it is preserved in the typical Tuscan style, with its hillside location surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and forests, making it an ideal place for a relaxing stay. Shared facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, connected by a children’s pool, outdoor shower and sun beds. There is also a shared barbecue and shared washing machine. Each apartment offers sun loungers and a parasol in the garden surrounding the pool, and private parking. It is an ideal location for exploring the area with Montaione 1.5 km, Certaldo 8km, San Gimignano, the famous medieval village with towers, 12km, Siena and Florence 50km, and a golf course 15km away. A baker passes the estate with fresh bread every morning, including Sundays.

The nearest airport is Pisa.

The place was excellent, just what I had envisioned for a Tuscany trip. My only complaints revolve around cleanliness: firstly, we stayed a week and paid a 90 euro cleaning fee, despite the fact that our room was not actually cleaned, during our stay. We were told the cleaning takes place on Saturdays, and we left on a Saturday... Ok, so I'll take that on the chin, however I'd still expect them to stock up the place with a second (or third?) set of laundry bags and toilet paper, for us to use throughout the week of our stay. Speaking of toilet paper: half-way through our stay, my wife and I both got a mild case of food poisoning, and after an "interesting" night, the next morning we realized we were out of toilet paper. Still in agony and with the prospect of driving 10 minutes to the super market seeming like an odyssey I scrambled up to the reception, found a cleaning lady and asked her for some toilet paper. She responded like I'd asked her for gold nuggets, repeating "No, No", sounding very unglued. I saw that she then called the owner, to no avail. They left me to my own devices, all doubled-up in pain, and saved themselves what, a Euro or 2, of toilet paper? Congratulations, you're now 2 euros richer and have a highly dissatisfied customer. So in summary, while the farmhouse was lovely and I would in fact re-visit (and bring my own supplies...), their client management skills are dismal.

We had a great time touring round Tuscany and this provides an excellent base for the week

Very nice. Owner very helpful and friendly. Place was large and clean. Great Location. Only issue was the WI-FI would only work outside the unit. Technician attended twice to fix but it worked great outside, but still not inside the apartment. Not a big deal for us. Great place to relax.
