Charming cottage set in a lovely location. The owners provide some nice welcoming touches and have put a lot of thought into it. However, luxurious it is not.

Response on behalf of the Owner; We very disappointed by this moderate score. On the form you left with us you gave us 4 out of 5 for equipment, facilities, welcome and cleanliness - with the remark that it was not luxurious because we have hard floors downstairs plus a large sitting room rug and you would have preferred close carpeting. We are really sorry you didn’t like this - the definition of luxury is quite personal - but as the floors are clearly shown in the images online from which you chose the property we don’t feel the comment is altogether fair. There are good new carpets on the staircase and throughout upstairs but it would not be possible to welcome walkers and dogs all year round and yet keep downstairs carpets spotless - which is why we have hard floors and a rug which is shampooed frequently.

Lovely quiet location with wonderful welcome - Christmas tree and lights up, wood burner all set up and a tea tray with mince pies waiting for us - so thoughtful. Very comfortable cottage with lots of little touches that make it a delightful place to stay. Highly recommend.

Warm, comfortable, clean, very well equipped. Great welcome pack, wine, mince pies, Xmas crackers, milk, I love this touch, very much appreciated. Good walks from the cottage, woods right across the road, good if you have dogs. Lovely village close, Usk, only small, but you can get food from the small supermarket, and it has a lovely friendly feel to it, small selection of shops there too.
