Valley View is a gorgeous cottage with a view to die for. We immediately felt at home. The owners had thought of literally everything and even left us fresh bread, milk and breakfast cereal for our arrival - as well as treats for the dogs. It was a last minute decision to go away for the weekend and take the dogs with us and we didn't have time for a lot of research so we count ourselves so lucky to find we had struck gold with our choice! We will definitely be booking a return visit. Thank you.

Wonderful cottage with lovely walks from the door. We were really lucky with sunny weatherror so we were able to enjoy the beautiful views from the garden and eat outside most evenings on the deck. Perfect holiday.

This was our second stay at Valley View Cottage and again we were delighted with this cosy place. The owner is very welcoming and we had everything we needed. The beds are comfy and there is a choice of a heavy or a light duvet for each bed - not something we've found in any other holiday let - perfect for us. From the kitchen window there's a fine view over the valley and on a clear night you can scan the night sky from the decked area. There's a choice of places to sit outside and relax. We visited Raby Castle, Durham and took a walk at Derwent Reservoir. I had the opportunity to visit the Quilter's Cupboard at Crook - if you sew, you've got to go there! We're looking forward to our next stay at Valley View Cottage.

We had a particularly relaxing time at Valley View Cottage and would definitely book again. It is a snug little cottage with a mesmerising view over the valley. The sofas and beds were very comfortable and everywhere was clean. There were lots of little touches that made us feel quite at home, there was even a choice of heavy or light duvets! Other property owners please note - a choice of duvets for your properties is a must.
