This is the best I have been to we originally booked the holiday last year but the decided to get married & make it our honeymoon. We went on the Sunday as we married on the Saturday & received a warm welcome from Simon he showed us round the bungalow & left us flowers, chocolates, champagne, homemade cakes, butter, eggs, milk, coffee, tea, sugar & a tot of whiskey. The bungalow was so homely everything you could need. Very warm & spacious. I have never seen so many different birds & a very tame couple of pheasants who visited us several times a day. There was loads of bird food left to feed them. We live in the countryside but I have never seen so many different birds. We didn't want to leave & loved the secluded setting but peebles & bigger a short drive away.

Delighted with our stay, a wonderful relaxing holiday and great that 2 dogs are allowed. Everything thought off and wonderfully maintained. A great host and a brilliant position though it would be difficult without a car.

The cottage is comfortable and well equipped and there are beautiful views from the huge window in the living room. The welcome pack on arrival, including a wee dram, was much appreciated. Bird food was provided for the many feeders in the garden and a variety of species visited them. The surrounding area is open farmland and very peaceful. Supplies can be obtained from the small town of Biggar, about four miles away. The owner was very helpful when there was a problem with the heating and it was rectified immediately. I would definitely recommend Valley View.

Cottage was lovely with almost everything you need to make your holiday complete. Countryside in area is absolutely beautiful with many walks to enjoy nearby. Only disappointment was garden was not enclosed as stated and there were a lot of areas our dog could escape from. Extra heater available but due to hot weather a fan would have been nice. Appreciated the fact that Simon contacted and said cottage would be ready from midday onwards on day of arrival.

Had a fantastic holiday right from the start. We were left a wonderful welcome pack by Simon and he couldn't have been more helpful. The cottage had everything you could need and it was extremely comfortable. The garden was teeming with wildlife and the dogs enjoyed exploring it. The cottage was in a perfect location for visiting lots of lovely places but the best bit about it was it's amazing views from the picture window. Fabulous. Would love to come again.
