Excellent cottage in very quiet location. It was extremely clean and comfortable. The hosts provided a welcome pack including a bottle of wine, tea, coffee and biscuits. From this base one can access a great range of places and activities.

The host was very helpful and the property was very clean and well equipped. Complimentary touches such as tea, coffee and biscuits were great but perhaps a little milk would also have been useful. The property was excellent value in March 2022. The downsides for us were the lack of headroom upstairs and no upstairs bathroom facilities. The location also meant we had to drive everywhere as we would not have been happy walking down the road. To be fair we knew about the lack of upstairs facilities but still feel a small cloakroom could have been included in the upstairs room which housed the hot water cylinder. The stairs were quite steep so we had to put a light on to go downstairs when it was dark thus waking the other person. It is also very close to the owners' property so we left the curtains and blinds drawn when we were there to give privacy to all. We would recommend this property to others but perhaps it is not quite so suitable for older guests.

An excellent base for we 2 to explore on foot, with only short drives to the Thames or for walks onto the Ridgeway.
