We stayed here as a family of four (kids are 13 & 16) with 2 small dogs. The lodge was exactly what we needed as a base for exploring the area and for comfortable evenings. It is well equipped, has a good living space, comfortable beds and excellent wifi (essential for teenagers!). The owner is very helpful and you really couldn't ask for more in this price range. The site itself is very dog-friendly, including the pub/restaurant, while the on-site swimming pools are easily booked and weren't too busy. Callington is close by for essential shopping and several attractions and activities are within 30 to 45 minutes drive. Overall we had a great week and I can thoroughly recommend this Lodge. I would certainly book here again.

Beds were comfortable. Not enough glasses. Good facilities on site. Closest lodges were empty. If occupied there would be little privacy outside. Our last night was spoilt by noisy grass cutting continuing after 9pm. We asked the person to desist which he did but no consideration had been shown as we were having dinner on balcony

Had a lovely last-minute stay at a very reasonable price. Had an issue with the heating (during a very cold week in January) but the caretaker was extremely helpful... even going so far as to lend us an electric heater until the problem could be resolved. Good location for numerous day trips. Frequently enjoyed family time in the heated indoor pool (perfect temperature) with spotlessly clean changing rooms.
