Had a lovely time at vale view,we would definitely stay there again , Jonathan and Louise were very welcoming as were the two cats and dog . Only one small gripe no dustpan and brush (the door and window frames needed a sweep due to hot weather flies seem to be attracted to them)

The property needs some urgent TLC , cleanliness of bathrooms was an issue had to clean showers before could use as black mould all around base and dirt, the shower head was green with calcium and the trap was full of hair. The basin plug holes dirty and cobwebs hanging everywhere in cottage , needs to be given a redecorate as cracks in walls all over. Kitchen sink dirty, inside of microwave dirty had to clean before using Beds were however clean and the flat was furnished with comfortable furniture It just needs a good spring clean throughout and some basic decorating

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are of course disappointed and saddened by these comments and scores. We pride ourselves in providing a very high standard of cleanliness and as can be seen from previous reviews this has never been an issue although there are of course some redecoration tasks that have been noted and are planned. We can only apologise if the clients felt that the shower and sink was in such an unsatisfactory state and overall in such a dire condition. In fact we were away when the clients arrived and our cleaner had just had 3 teeth extracted and thus may not have been up to our high standard that it should have been. However on my return I spoke to the clients who seemed to be having an enjoyable stay and never mentioned these issues. Had they done so we would have of course either remedied the situation or considered a discount. The comments left in our visitor’s comments book were: “Nice location, peaceful, plenty to do in area. Cottage had all needed to be comfortable. Issue with heating/water dealt with promptly PS sorry broke a tumbler, left money to replace. Many thanks. X PS Small suggestion something to clean sinks would be useful as couldn’t leave as wanted too!”
