Nestling within this secluded woodland setting, these detached holiday lodges overlook the Campsie Fells, and are a great base for exploring all that central Scotland has to offer. Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park is 20 miles away with walking, cycling, fishing, golfing, horse riding and watersports on offer, while also being only 20 minutes from the cosmopolitan city of Glasgow with galleries, museums, historical attractions, superb nightlife and fantastic shopping. Stirling and Edinburgh are easily accessible by car. Shop and pub 2½ miles, restaurant 3 miles.

Natural woodland grounds. 2 pets welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (working farm). Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is a stream in the grounds.

    Quiet location, we saw dear, hare and rabbits. There is a stream bordering the property which means it may not be suitable for families with small children. Have been twice to this lodge and twice to its neighbouring cottage the Pavilions. We will definitely stay here again especially as we have family nearby.

    I would recommend the Lodge without reservation. The property was presented in a spotless condition with clean and fresh linen. We wanted for nothing. We found the property spacious and comfortable considering our group was made up of 2 adults and 3 teenagers. We were warm and toasty in late October and hot water was plentiful. I would most definitely return.

    A peaceful location for a beautiful cottage, within a short distance from Glasgow Airport giving access to some fantastic locations nearby. We plan to return soon so that we can explore more of the area.

    A brilliant little gem of a holiday home in a gorgeous setting. Ideal for exploring Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Loch Lomond and the islands. I would not hesitate to book this again or to recommend it to others! Well Done to the owners !

    The only thing that let the holiday down was that the bed was advertised as a king size and wasn’t even a full sized double. I therefore spent the holiday sleeping on the sofa. On the other hand, the scenery was beautiful with lots of wildlife spotting and half an hour drive from most places of interest.

    Response on behalf of the Owner; Your first assertion is correct and our apologies for the error in the listing which we have now corrected. Your second assertion is wrong and we should point out that the bed and mattress, which are less than a month old, are a standard double bed size. 198cm x 137 cm and replaced a divan bed of similar size.

    We loved it here- quiet and peaceful but easy to get into nearby villages as well as Glasgow and Edinburgh (20mins to Croy station, then train). Cottage had everything we were looking for, well decorated with great outside space.
