This delightful cottage has many original features and lies in the hills between Harlech and Porthmadog, perfect for families and friends getting together. The ground floor of the cottage is perfect for social get togethers, with large kitchen/dinner that has extra seating under the old inglenook fireplace. The lounge area has lovely views and a warming log burner. A downstairs toilet to save a trip up the stairs, there is also a utility room with additional fridge and a freezer so plenty of room for all the shopping. On the first floor you’ll find a family bathroom and four bedrooms one with en-suite shower room and French doors leading into the wonderful garden area. Outside there is ample parking and lots of space for the children to run around, along the edge of the garden there is a river perfect for dipping your toes in on a summer’s day. There are walks from the door into the hills, and it is only a short drive across the estuary to the famous Italianate village of Portmeirion, designed by Sir Clough Williams Ellis, or you can ride the little steam trains of the Ffestiniog Railway. Nearby is the former slate quarrying town of Blaenau Ffestiniog, now a mecca for adrenaline junkies with Bounce Below, where you can bounce on trampoline nets in an underground slate cavern, and Zipworld Titan – the largest zip wire zone in the world. The Edward I castle (a World Heritage Site) broods dramatically over the town of Harlech, which also has a superb sandy beach. Visit the Cambrian Coast down to Barmouth and beyond, whilst in the other direction the Lleyn Peninsula beckons with the seaside towns of Criccieth and Abersoch.
