Description

Couples can enjoy a lovely break at this charming retreat which makes a perfect base for touring Anglesey and Snowdonia.

A lovely little holiday retreat for couples, carefully converted from old stone stables. The charmingly uneven roofline belies the interesting layout and well-appointed accommodation to be found within. Less than a mile to Newborough Forest which leads to Llanddwyn beach and island (all within a National Nature Reserve). For ornithologists, Ty Lawr is next to a bird sanctuary complete with lakeside ‘hide’. A delightful base for touring Anglesey and still within easy reach of the mainland and Snowdonia National Park. Fishing and horse riding nearby. Shops ¼ mile.

Comfortable living/dining room open via original exposed beamed studwork to well-equipped, fitted kitchen. Double bedroom with TV. Stylishly fitted bathroom with combined bath/shower, toilet and underfloor heating.

We loved staying at Ty Lawr Stables. It is peaceful, quiet and a welcome relief from our usual life living in a busy city. We enjoyed visiting nearby Newborough beach, which is sandy and has amazing views of Snowdonia. We also appreciated the bike storage at the cottage, so we could explore Anglesey by cycling. Also there is lots of interesting wildlife living just outside the cottage, such as the lovely pheasants. Thank you for looking after us! Sue :-)

An excellent cottage, that feels as though it's way out in the wilds, but is in fact within walking distance of a chip shop. We'd definitely stay again (the weather was also brilliant)

Our second visit to this cottage. Everything as expected, a quiet location at sea level with a fantastic view of Snowdonia which makes Anglesey such a special place to visit.
