Set in a peaceful, rural location

Situated on the Llyn Peninsula, in a peaceful, rural location with views of the nearby Garn Fadryn mountain. These Grade ll listed, converted and beautifully refurbished barns still feature original beams and the wonderfully converted holiday farmhouses are set in an ideal location for walking and exploring beautiful Llyn. Within the grounds, there is a private, large coarse fishing lake which is well-stocked with carp. Fishing on the lake is free of charge on a catch and release basis (equipment and rod licence required). The picturesque Porth Dinllaen is just a short distance away, as is the beach at Porth Oer, or Whistling Sands, so called because the rounded grains of sand squeak when walked upon. For those with a love of the sea, a trip to Bardsey Island, reputedly the home of twenty thousand saints, is an exciting way to appreciate this coastline. Within easy reach are the towns of Aberdaron, Abersoch, Pwllheli, Criccieth with its castle perched almost on the beach or Porthmadog, home of the famous Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Steam Railways. Horse riding nearby. Ideal for golf. Shop and pub 3 miles. 25096, 24665 and 24666 can be booked together to accommodate up to 14 guests.

Had a wonderful stay. Really comfortable and atmospheric location. Short drive to amazing beaches. No decent restaurants nearby but no matter as kitchen was well equipped.

Had a lovely short break at the cottage. Wonderful location for an away from it all break with the dog. Beautiful cottage and scenery and everything you could need was supplied. Host checked in to see we were OK and everything to our liking (which it was) and left us to enjoy, which we did. Lovely, relaxing place to recharge your batteries. Perfect.

Very clean but was dark lights had to be on, no welcome pack so had to wait for our grocery order to arrive 3 hours after arriving before could have a cup of tea, we have several cottages a year and this was the first where we hadn't been left any milk. Cottage was comfortable but as weather bad would have liked to have had choice of whether to have heating on or not but it had been turned off for summer, owner had written to phone him if required anything but couldn't as had no phone signal. As this had been our most expensive cottage over past 5 years and had had to pay £25 per dog yet nothing for them no water bowl or treats, was disappointed, I think we have been spoilt with other cottages as have always had things left for dogs including dog poo bags even when not having to pay for dogs.

Lovely cottage in fantastic scenery. Very comfy cosy cottage the owners checked we were happy with everything as we arrived and also wished us a good journey home as we left. We had taken stakes to tie the dogs to as we saw this was a shared garden and that is our only slight flaw with this cottage that the garden wasn't more secure for the dogs. We asked to take an extra small dog and the owners kindly let us.
